Jemma Mcsloy T.C.R.G

Jemma was born and raised in South East London where she began Irish dancing at the age of 8. She first danced for The Lynda Fryday school before moving to the Tanya Dirrane School Of Irish Dancing.

Throughout her years dancing for Tanya Dirrane, Jemma competed in many local and major international competitions. She won numerous local competitions and placed highly in major competitions such as The World Championships, All Irelands,American Nationals, European Championships,British Nationals and many more.

At the age of 18 Jemma decided to take a break from her competitive career and began touring with her first of many shows, Gaelforce Dance where she played the lead bad girl during a tour of Ireland and Poland. Jemma then continued to tour with shows such as Irish Nights and Rhythm of the dance. These shows enabled Jemma to travel to Mexico, Holland ,Russia, Portugal, Sweden just to name a few.

In 2009 Jemma joined the world famous show, Riverdance and began a 6 month tour of America and Canada. During her years spent with Riverdance Jemma toured the UK, Singapore, China, South Africa, Australia, Egypt and Hong Kong as well as performing on the famous TV show Strictly Come Dancing.

In 2011 Jemma competed at her last World Irish Dancing championships and achieved another World Medal. It was after this that at the age of 23 Jemma retired from not only competitions but full time touring to be able to concentrate on studying for her T.C.R.G exam.She passed the exam with honours in December 2011 and became a fully qualified Irish Dancing Teacher.

Jemma is a T.C.R.G registered with An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha,she is fully CRB checked and first aid qualified.
